Job Title:Engineering Director for Luxury HotelsAbout the Role:This leadership position focuses on overseeing engineering operations, ensuring seamless hotel performance and guest satisfaction.Main Responsibilities:Pre-Opening Phase:Manage MEP installations, testing, commissioning, and snag rectification to meet project timelines.Collaborate with contractors, project teams, and vendors to guarantee timely delivery of all engineering works.Develop comprehensive engineering SOPs, checklists, and preventive maintenance schedules.Evaluate and approve all engineering-related material, equipment, and AMC requirements.Conduct thorough pre-opening safety audits (fire, electrical, HVAC, STP/WTP, etc.)Engineering Operations:Oversee daily hotel engineering operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Ensure uninterrupted services (power, water, gas, safety systems) across the property.Lead proactive and corrective maintenance activities for all equipment.Monitor and optimize HLP (Heat, Light & Power) consumption across the property.Guarantee 100% compliance with safety, legal, and statutory requirements.Team Management:Lead, train, and mentor the engineering team to enhance skills and productivity.Coordinate timely rostering, work allocation, and skill development for the team.Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high standards within the engineering team.Vendor & AMC Management:Manage relationships with all engineering vendors and service contracts.Promote and monitor AMC schedules, renewals, and performance.Optimize cost-effective engineering operations without compromising quality.Emergency & Safety Management:Take full responsibility for the hotel's emergency preparedness (fire systems, alarms, panels, hydrants).Organize emergency drills and provide safety training to the team.Respond to technical breakdowns with swift decision-making and minimal downtime.Requirements:Skills & Qualifications:BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering (Essential)Strong technical knowledge of:HVAC SystemsFire Safety SystemsElectrical Panels & Load DistributionSTP/WTP OperationsPreventive Maintenance SystemsAbility to manage 100+ rooms or multiple sites preferred.Strong budget planning, cost control, and vendor management skills.Experience:8-10 years of hospitality engineering experience.Prior experience as Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer in 4/5-star hotel chains.Experience with pre-opening properties is highly desirable.Personal Traits:Strong ownership and accountability.Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.Leadership qualities with excellent coordination and communication skills.],
