Transform Patient Care with AIWe're on a mission to redefine customer engagement in healthcare by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence. At our organization, we've created EMMA – the UK's leading AI receptionist for GP practices. By eliminating phone queues, accelerating call handling and enhancing patient access, we aim to transform the primary care experience from end-to-end.Key Responsibilities:Develop and deploy LLM- and RAG-based systems to ingest NHS data sources, generate accurate responses, and power both chatbot and voice agent interactions.Craft, iterate, and optimise prompts and design voice-agent dialogue flows to maximise response relevance, reduce latency, and ensure clinical safety across text and voice channels.Collaborate with frontend (Next.js, React) and backend (NestJS, Python) teams to integrate AI and voice agent components into our Azure-hosted microservices architecture.Instrument AI and voice-agent pipelines, analyse logs, and troubleshoot edge cases to implement continuous-learning improvements.Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in LLMs, RAG, conversational AI frameworks, and NHS-specific compliance to inform our technical roadmap.Define and execute rigorous test plans in collaboration with QA to validate model accuracy, voice-agent performance, and compliance with healthcare standards.Mentor junior engineers, advocate for best practices in MLOps, prompt engineering, voice-agent design, and model governance, and contribute to architecture reviews.Benefits:Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologyChance to collaborate with experienced professionalsProfessional development opportunitiesAdditional Information:In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and make a significant impact in the healthcare sector.
