Job Description


We are looking for a Programmer Analyst on an industry-leading medical coding application. The Pulse team is looking for full stack developers to enhance an application that is used 24 hours a day by a global team of medical coders and help create its replacement. You will have a flexible mind and work closely with the product owners and several teams to enhance the existing application, while keeping an eye on the future and always looking to go beyond the status quo.

You don't have to be familiar with every technology (.NET, Azure DevOps, NPM, xUnit) we use, but a good grasp of basics and the ability to learn quickly is necessary. Most importantly, we seek talented, flexible, independent, communicative, efficient, solution-oriented engineers.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply methods, concepts, and theories to new situations.
  • Mentors less experienced employees in fundamentals of development and technology stack
  • Adapts and applies changes to local team processes to support team goals … focuses on important information as determined by others
  • Cooperate with the business development, product, design, and development teams to participate in product feature and design discussions and to regularly demo your well tested and peer reviewed code
  • Remove roadblocks to development using excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Identify meaningful opportunities for improvement; mentor and be mentored by others
  • Provide clear written communication using collaboration tools
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills
  • Separate complex topics into understandable parts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Proven programming skills with strong object-oriented design
  • Software development experience/portfolio that demonstrates your application development experience using .Net
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with unit test, integration test, continuous integration, and deployment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Ability to generate high level architecture for new problems
  • Ability and desire to learn and work with new languages and technologies as needed
  • Ability to learn legacy applications quickly and independently
  • Ability to work independently
  • .Net Framework (Legacy)/ASP.NET/.Net (Core)/C#/WebForms
  • A belief that unit testing is essential
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with Git source control


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in few of these areas (or similar)
  • Microsoft Certifications in .Net / C#
  • Microsoft Certifications in .Net / MVC
  • Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server services / Database
  • Competent UI design skills
  • Web API development
  • Azure cloud services
  • Unit testing in xUnit with AutoFixture and Moq
  • Experience with Node Package Manager (NPM), Gulp or Bower
  • Experience with NoSQL (Cosmos, Mongo, etc)
  • Elasticsearch
  • SonarQube
  • Containerization in Azure DevOps
  • Converting monoliths to microservices


EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE : Minimum 3-5 years of related experience


Competency

Net Framework (Legacy)/ASP.NET/.NET (Core) MVC/C#/Webforms, Elasticsearch, SonarQube
