With a clear purpose to develop affordable, reliable, ever-cleaner energy that enables human progress, we believe human ingenuity has the power to solve any challenge and overcome obstacles.Meeting the world's growing energy needs requires the pursuit of innovations and advancements that deliver a better future for all.Key Responsibilities:The position provides fracture modeling support to enhance shale & tight recovery, reduce costs, optimize completion designs, enable safe fracturing operations, reduce environmental risks, and safeguard system integrity & reliability.The role supports the construction, setup, and execution of geomechanical models for hydraulic fracturing integral to S&T business unit activities.Model construction and analysis are conducted to address geomechanical challenges for S&T assets such as hydraulic fracturing, fracture height growth, drainage height assessment, fracture-driven interaction, job optimization including well and cluster spacing, landing point optimization, etc.The position populates hydraulic fracture models for S&T assets with geological and geophysical data, rock properties, pump schedules, fluid rheology, and relevant pressure and temperature conditions under collaboration with relevant subject matter experts.The role executes hydraulic fracture S&T models, extracts relevant data, and manages results repositories.The position assesses interactions between parent and child wells utilizing workflows that couple hydraulic fracture models, reservoir simulators, and 4D MEM models.About YouWe know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity, and innovation of our people. Applications from motivated, talented individuals with a keen interest in the energy industry are encouraged.To be considered for this role, applicants should have:Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Earth science disciplines (Geology, Geophysics, Geomechanics) or Petroleum or equivalent Engineering.5-7 years of pertinent industry experience.Experience in oil and gas industry.Hands-on experience in geomechanics hydraulic fracture modeling for S&T applications using software like Kinetix, ResFrac, or equivalent tools.Understanding of the interplay between subsurface conditions in unconventional assets and well performance.Proficiency in a wide range of geomechanics analysis techniques to handle field and well data.Preferred Qualifications5-7 years of experience in geomechanics field.Experience in hydraulic fracture modeling software for shale and tight applications such as Kinetix, ResFrac, or StimPlan.Experience in one-dimensional well log software such as Techlog or Geolog.Experience in finite element solvers such as Abaqus, ParaGeo, or Elfen.
