About the Inventory Planning RoleOptimizing stock levels and driving efficient product flow across channels are crucial for our fashion and lifestyle brand portfolio.Main Responsibilities:Inventory Optimization – Partner with brand managers to align buy quantities and assortment with sales plans and demand forecasts.Channel Allocation Strategy – Distribute inventory across multiple sales channels (retail, marketplace, wholesale) based on sales velocity and channel strategy.Inventory Management Under Different Models – Manage inventory under both consignment and marketplace models, including allocations from central warehouses.Supply Chain Coordination – Liaise with central supply chain teams to ensure timely inventory movements across regions and platforms.Aging Inventory Analysis – Analyse ageing stock and develop clearance strategies to optimise sell-through and recover margins.Markdown & Pricing Recommendations – Recommend markdowns based on inventory age, sales trends, and margin targets.Demand & Cover Monitoring – Monitor inventory covers and replenishment cycles to avoid overstocking or stockouts.Data Driven Reporting – Maintain accurate inventory reports, highlighting risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.Requirements:7-8 years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or merchandising, preferably in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle retail.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a plus.Understanding of multi-channel inventory management and supply chain processes.Experience in markdown planning and clearance strategies.Commercial acumen to balance stock availability, sales velocity, and profitability.Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions with data-driven recommendations.High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
