Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Database Architect who will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing our database systems. This position requires hands-on experience with MySQL, as well as strong backend fundamentals.Design and Develop Database Systems: Utilize expertise in MySQL to create and maintain efficient database schemas, queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.Optimize Database Performance: Enhance database performance through indexing, query tuning, caching, and load balancing strategies.Collaborate with Backend Engineers: Work closely with the engineering team to integrate MySQL effectively within Node.js services.Contribute to Backend Development: Participate in developing backend features using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js when required.Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain data security, implement backups, and ensure high availability of databases.Troubleshoot Database Issues: Identify and resolve database-related problems by driving root-cause analysis.Support System Design Discussions: Contribute to discussions on system design and propose scalable database solutions.Requirements3–6 years of dedicated hands-on experience with MySQL, including query writing, optimization, schema design, and performance improvements.Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, indexing strategies, and execution plans.Experience working on high-scale, high-growth product-based companies.Ability to design efficient, scalable database structures for B2C applications.Strong analytical mindset, able to understand why a certain approach is more optimal, not just how to implement it.Experience working in fast-paced startup environments where speed and performance matter.Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards.Experience optimizing systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.
