The Director of Food & Beverage Quality & Operations is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency in all food and beverage services provided by the Indian university. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety programs, quality standards, and operational procedures in accordance with Indian regulatory requirements. The Director will also manage and develop a team of food safety professionals to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive food safety programs and quality standards that align with Indian food safety regulations, such as FSSAI standards, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective food and beverage operations in university cafeterias, canteens, and other food service outlets.
  • Manage and develop a team of food safety professionals, providing leadership, training, and mentorship.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food and beverage facilities to identify and address potential quality and safety issues.
  • Investigate and resolve food safety incidents and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor and analyze food safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian food safety regulations, including FSSAI regulations, and local health department regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders in India.
  • Collaborate with other university departments to ensure that food and beverage operations are integrated with the overall university strategy.
