Work location: Delhi or MumbaiWe're hiring an Economist for a fast-growing, innovation-driven financial services group that's deeply embedded in India's credit ecosystem.The role sits in the in-house Economic Research team, working directly with the Chief Economist, with a sharp focus on India's macro landscape and its linkages to credit, consumption, and financial cycles.If you're someone who loves decoding how India's macro story translates into credit quality, consumer behaviour, business cycles, and policy impact, this is one of those rare seats where your thinking shapes strategy at scale.We are specifically looking for professionals with deep, hands-on experience in researching the Indian economy, including macro indicators, credit trends, policy developments, and sectoral dynamics.What you'll do:– Build forward-looking macro frameworks rooted in India's realities– Track economic, credit, policy and regional trends– Develop models for forecasting and nowcasting– Analyse sectors and state economies for granular insights– Create sharp, clear research for senior leadership– Support credit strategy with evidence-backed thinkingWhat you bring:– 5–8 years in macro/industry/credit research– Strong econometric skills (R, STATA, EViews etc.)– Ability to extract signal from messy Indian datasets– Clarity in writing and structuring insights– Curiosity, ownership and comfort with ambiguityIf you enjoy living at the intersection of India's macroeconomy, credit cycles, and forward-looking analytics, ping me.Happy to share more.Ivan ChhetriResource Infiniteivan@resourceinfinite.com+91 9999248527
