About this roleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.This is a leadership role that will involve analyzing procurement transactions, identifying price variances, and reviewing exceptions.You will be responsible for factory variance analysis and consolidation, as well as developing reports that provide insights into price and factory variances.Additionally, you will assist in the month close activities, including the review of gross stocks, calculation of variances, and adherence to standard methodology for calculation of provisions.Your responsibilitiesAs a Cost Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:Analyzing procurement transactions to identify the cause of price variances;Reviewing exceptions and abnormal variances, and liaising with markets to take corrective action;Conducting factory variance analysis and consolidation;Developing reports that provide insights into price and factory variances;Assisting in the month close activities, including the review of gross stocks, calculation of variances, and adherence to standard methodology for calculation of provisions;Liaising with technology teams in resolution of issues with reports and processes.The ideal candidateTo be successful in this role, you will need:A Certified/Qualified Accountant qualification from a recognized professional accounting body;A University Degree in a relevant field;A minimum of eight years of post-qualification work experience with a manufacturing organization;Minimum of six years hands-on experience with SAP product costing and end-to-end process knowledge;Knowledge on SAP MM and PP modules, including experience on how non-financial information impacts costing;A thorough understanding of SAP CO module and process flow for product costing and fixing errors in costing and transaction processing;Experience with analysis of variances;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;Ability to work independently or within a team environment and with multiple priorities;Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (Excel) and reporting and analysis tools (BW, BCS, Lumira etc.).BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
