JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Testing Manager with 7-10 years of experience in testing electrical panels, switchgear, and power electronics systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of power electronic components such as IGBT, MOSFET, SCR, and hands-on experience with systems like VFDs, UPS, rectifiers, batteries, and inverters. The role requires leadership in overseeing the testing process to ensure product quality and reliability. The candidate should also be flexible to work in shifts when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Testing Activities:
- Manage the testing of electrical panels, switchgear, and power electronic systems to ensure products meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing procedures for components such as IGBT, MOSFET, SCR, VFDs, UPS, rectifiers, batteries, and inverters.
Power Electronics Testing:
- Perform in-depth testing and troubleshooting of power electronic components and systems, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate measurement of electrical parameters such as voltage, current, insulation resistance, and power quality during the testing phase.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support in all aspects of product testing and quality assurance.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of testing activities.
Test Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, documenting the results of all tests performed, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Communicate test findings and recommendations to design and production teams for improvements or modifications.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Continuously update knowledge of relevant testing standards such as IEC, IEEE, and other international testing protocols.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the testing department to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain testing tools, fixtures, and automated test setups to streamline testing procedures.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to address any issues identified during the testing process.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input based on test results to ensure product improvements.
Shift Flexibility:
Be willing to work in shifts as required by production schedules or project timelines to ensure testing milestones are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in testing electrical panels, switchgear, and power electronics systems.
- Proven expertise in working with power electronic components such as IGBT, MOSFET, and SCR.
- Hands-on experience testing VFDs, UPS, rectifiers, batteries, and inverters is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical panel and switchgear testing methodologies.
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations for electrical testing.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a testing role for power electronics products in the energy, industrial automation, or manufacturing sectors.
- Knowledge of testing software tools and automation systems.
