About the Role - The primary years class teacher will be responsible for teaching all subjects to their class following the curriculum of our school. The ideal candidate should be qualified in Teaching certification/license relevant to Primary Years education or having experience of teaching children age 6 to 12 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, interdisciplinary lessons that align with our holistic, inquiry-based curriculum.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of each student.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, ensuring all can achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate core subjects, such as Languages, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science, into a cohesive learning experience.
- Use a variety of assessment strategies, including formative and summative assessments, to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community, maintaining open communication and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, professional development, and school events to contribute to the vibrant community life of King’s College UK, Gurugram.
Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in any subject
- Bachelors and/or Masters in Education
- Candidates should either be having Teaching certification/license relevant to IB Primary Year Program teachers or willing to undertake the PYP IB Teacher Training.
Experience: 5 years proven experience in teaching children up to 6th grade, preferably in an International school..
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of student-centred and inquiry-based learning methodologies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. A passion for fostering intellectual growth and a commitment to holistic education.
