You’ll play a key role in architecting reliable, high-performance solutions and mentoring a small but growing backend team. If you’re hands-on, passionate about technology, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment — this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of backend engineers, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and alignment with best practices.Architect, design, and implement scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Node.js.Drive system design discussions, enforce design patterns, and establish coding standards.Manage PostgreSQL databases — including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and sprint planning.Ensure robust testing and observability practices (unit, integration, and monitoring).Lead by example — remain hands-on with code, especially for complex or high-impact features.Required Skills & Qualifications4+ years of professional backend development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a technical lead or senior developer capacity.Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, relational database design, and query optimization.Strong grasp of software design principles and patterns (SOLID, Clean Architecture, etc.).Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and distributed systems.Ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering excellence.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Good to HaveWorking knowledge of Go (Golang).Experience working in a startup environment or scaling systems from scratch.Exposure to Redis, Kafka, or message-driven architectures.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).Why Join Us?Lead a talented backend team and shape the system architecture from the ground up.Work directly with the founding and core engineering team.Competitive compensation with strong growth opportunities.Dynamic startup environment with ownership and autonomy.Onsite opportunity in Hyderabad — be part of a high-impact product journey.How to Apply:Submit your details at career@oneiot.io
