Technical Skills Required


Mandatory:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in macOS development.
  • Experience with Xcode and macOS development tools.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and the Qt framework for cross-platform development.
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSocket, SSL/TLS) and implementing them in Qt-based applications.
  • Familiarity with the POCO C++ Libraries for simplifying complex networking, I/O, and concurrency tasks.
  • Knowledge of Objective-C or Swift is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of macOS system APIs, application sandboxing, and security features.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.


Good To Have Skills:


  • Experience in cross-platform application development for Windows or Linux.
  • Familiarity with QML and Qt Quick for building modern UIs.
  • Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets and cloud services integration.
  • Understanding of networking security best practices (e.g., SSL/TLS, SAML, OAuth, OPENSSL, encryption protocols).
  • Experience with POCO’s networking modules for building robust communication layers.
  • Knowledge of iOS development is a plus.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain macOS applications using Qt, C++, and POCO C++ Libraries.
  • Implement and optimize networking features (TCP/IP, HTTP, WebSocket, etc.) within applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features with a focus on network communication.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices for network security and application performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot networking-related issues, such as latency, connectivity, and security concerns.
  • Work closely with the UI/UX team to integrate intuitive interfaces with underlying networking components.
  • Ensure applications are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and scalability in distributed environments.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, trends, and best practices in Qt, network programming, and POCO.
  • Assist in the deployment and distribution of applications, ensuring compliance with Apple's guidelines for Notarization and App Store submission.
