Key Job ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Shopify POS UI Developer will oversee the design, development, and delivery of advanced user interface extensions for Shopify Point of Sale (POS) systems across various retail use cases.Design and develop innovative user experiences for Shopify POS systems using React, TypeScript, and native extension components.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade and migrate existing POS UI extension versions to the latest APIs and components.Shopify Ecosystem IntegrationIntegrate with Shopify Admin APIs (GraphQL/REST), Webhooks, App Bridge, and optional Remix/Node.js services to ensure seamless integration with the Shopify ecosystem.Configure and optimize Smart Grid layouts based on store, location, or role requirements to enhance the overall shopping experience.Work closely with Shopify Plus Support to resolve issues and assess the impact of ongoing platform releases on POS system functionality.DevOps & DeploymentEstablish and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for build, test, and deployment via the Shopify Partners Dashboard.Implement multi-environment workflows (dev/QA/stage/prod) with feature flags and rollback strategies to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes.Qualifications8+ years of overall IT experience.3+ years of direct experience in Shopify POS / E-commerce for large retail organizations (>$500M revenue).3–5 years of hands-on experience with:Shopify POS UI Extensions.Shopify App Bridge.Shopify Admin APIs (REST & GraphQL).Required SkillsAdvanced skills in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.Knowledge of Liquid templating and Shopify Polaris for Admin UI development.
