ExeKute AI — ERP Automation Startup We are building ExeKute AI, an AI-native execution layer for ERP systems (SAP ECC/S/4HANA). Our product combines an AI co-pilot (ProcureBot) with a deep integration engine (FlowMesh) to automate procurement and supply-chain tasks end-to-end. We are looking for a Backend Engineering Intern who can build reliable, scalable backend systems and support basic AI request-processing in our multi-user platform. You will work closely with our AI Lead and contribute to core product features. This role focuses mainly on backend engineering, with light AI interaction (sending queries, processing responses, storing context). What You Will Work On Building backend APIs and services for multi-user applications Implementing user and session management, authentication and authorization Creating endpoints that interact with AI models and process responses Integrating vector databases for basic search and retrieval Building microservices and containerizing them with Docker Supporting real-time workflows using event-driven architecture Working with SAP integration experts to connect backend with SAP APIs and IDocs Participating in system design discussions and delivering POCs Required Skills Strong Python or Java backend development skills Experience building APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Spring Boot Understanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth2, sessions) Experience with Docker and microservices Basic knowledge of how to interact with LLMs via API calls Basic vector database experience (storing and querying embeddings) Understanding of transformers at a conceptual level Nice To Have ReactJS Kafka or Pulsar SAP/ERP integration curiosity Basic knowledge of caching, rate-limiting, or performance tuning What You Will Get Daily mentorship from AI and SAP experts Real-world backend engineering experience Opportunity to work on production features from day one Ownership and responsibility for core backend modules Live video coding sessions as part of the evaluation and onboarding Possibility of transitioning into a full-time role Starting Salary 8K for 40H work week
