Job Description:


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the enterprise Infoblox solution for IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services in accordance with the federal customer's requirements and guidelines.
  • Perform routine configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Infoblox appliances and related components, ensuring their optimal performance and adherence to security standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services, collaborating with relevant teams and vendors as necessary to resolve complex problems.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain IP address management (IPAM) policies, ensuring efficient allocation and tracking of IPv4 and IPv6 address blocks across the network infrastructure.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain DHCP services, including lease management, address range allocation, and failover configurations to ensure uninterrupted network connectivity.
  • Manage and maintain DNS infrastructure, including authoritative DNS servers, DNS zones, DNSSEC, and DNS forwarders.
  • Collaborate with network and security teams to integrate Infoblox with other network infrastructure components, such as firewalls, DNS proxies, and DNS firewalls.
  • Ensure compliance with security guidelines and industry best practices for network services, regularly assessing and remediating vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services, including performance metrics, utilization trends, and service availability.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of capacity management initiatives, ensuring that the Infoblox solution can scale to meet the organization's growing network demands.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their networking requirements and provide guidance on utilizing Infoblox effectively to meet their needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS administration, including configuration standards, procedures, and troubleshooting resources.
  • Stay up to date with the latest features, enhancements, and security patches released by Infoblox, proactively assessing their impact on the infrastructure, and implementing necessary updates.
  • Participate in change management processes, ensuring the smooth deployment, configuration, and integration of Infoblox changes across the environment.
  • Train and educate users on Infoblox functionality, empowering them to effectively manage IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services within their respective domains.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for network-related projects, collaborating with architects and engineers to design and implement efficient and scalable network solutions.
