Job Title: Delivery Manager Data ScienceLocation: Pune, Mumbai, RemoteExperience: 10+ yearsEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager – Data Science to lead the end-to-end delivery of data-driven solutions and AI/ML projects for global clients. The ideal candidate will combine strong delivery management expertise with a solid understanding of data science, machine learning, and analytics, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with business goals.Key Responsibilities:Project & Delivery ManagementOwn and manage the delivery of multiple data science and AI/ML projects across industries.Drive end-to-end project execution — from requirement gathering, data preparation, and model development to deployment and client handover.Define and track project plans, delivery milestones, budgets, and timelines.Ensure adherence to delivery standards, quality benchmarks, and SLAs.Team Leadership & Resource ManagementLead and mentor cross-functional teams consisting of data scientists, data engineers, and analysts.Manage resource allocation, team capacity, and delivery performance.Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Translate business objectives into actionable data science solutions and measurable KPIs.Present project updates, insights, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and executives.Technical & Strategic OversightCollaborate with technical leads to design scalable, production-ready data science solutions.Guide teams in the selection of appropriate ML algorithms, statistical models, and analytical frameworks.Ensure robust data pipelines, model monitoring, and deployment practices are in place.Stay current with emerging trends in AI/ML, MLOps, LLMs, and data strategy to drive innovation.Process Excellence & GovernanceEstablish and optimize delivery frameworks using Agile, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies.Implement data science best practices, version control, and model governance standards.Track delivery metrics and ensure continuous improvement through retrospectives and process audits.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.10+ years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in delivery or program management of data projects.Proven track record of delivering AI/ML, data analytics, or data engineering projects at scale.Strong understanding of data science concepts — machine learning, predictive modeling, NLP, and statistical analysis.Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Power BI, or Tableau.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Experience working with global and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or Agile Delivery are preferred.Preferred Experience:Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps frameworks.Experience in data-driven digital transformation initiatives.Prior work in consulting or client-facing project delivery environments.Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and model explainability frameworks.What We Offer:Opportunity to lead cutting-edge AI and data science initiatives for global enterprises.Collaborative and innovation-driven work culture.Access to continuous learning and leadership growth opportunities.
