Job Overview
As a Cloud Data Security Architect , you will play a key role in designing and maintaining the security of the organization's Azure cloud environment. You will assess security needs, define security policies, and provide solutions to ensure a secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and on-premise data architecture. This role involves close collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders to secure Digital Service Data/AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the Data Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for architecture, design, and configuration of cloud and on-premise data security solutions.
Perform security assessments of Azure data architectures and cloud services.
Define and implement security best practices , governance frameworks, and processes.
Establish technical and functional security requirements for key cloud projects, with a focus on digital identities, cloud integration, and data platforms.
Review and assess Azure Cloud services to propose security measures in line with IS&T Security Framework.
Draft, define, and roll out security policies, directives, and guidelines.
Manage cloud security projects, including identifying requirements, testing, solution selection, contract negotiation, and implementation.
Provide support to business units (internal business owners, clients, BU CIOs, group internal control, group internal audit, external auditors etc), in deploying security solutions while balancing business requirements.
Provide assistance to regions and BU's to migrate and/or deploy workloads in public cloud.
Assess security risks and define appropriate security measures and processes in main business projects to protect data and systems prior go-live and roll-out
Analyze business and IT requests impacting information and systems security in the public cloud, and propose mitigating measures.

Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of professional experience, with 3-6+ years specifically in Information Security (consulting, auditing, architecture).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Azure cloud platforms .
Strong knowledge of Azure Data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Warehouse, Synapse, Data Lake, PowerBI).
Experience with the Azure AI platform , including Databricks, Azure ML, and Cognitive Services .
Strong technical background in networking, systems, databases, and applications .
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies such as ISO27005, eBIOS , etc.

Preferred Certifications
Cloud Certifications : Azure (e.g., MS AZ-500, AZ-30x), SANS SEC545.
Information Security Certifications : ISO 27001, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
