Job Description: SDET II – Automation Testing
Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced SDET II (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automated test frameworks, performing backend testing, and ensuring high-quality software releases. If you are passionate about automation, have strong skills in Python, backend testing, and AWS, we want to hear from you
Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Python to support backend services testing.Develop automated test solutions to ensure high-quality releases of backend systems and APIs.Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve defects throughout the development cycle.Implement robust and reusable automated tests that can efficiently validate the software’s functionality, performance, and security.Perform backend testing, including database validations, API testing, and integrations with various systems.Develop and execute complex test scenarios to validate system behavior under load and stress conditions.Utilize AWS services to test, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud-based solutions.Continuously enhance test coverage through automation, improving the reliability and performance of backend services.Review and analyze system requirements, technical specifications, and design documents to create effective test plans and strategies.Identify, document, and track software defects to ensure timely resolution.
Key Skills and Qualifications:Programming Languages:
Proficiency in
Python
for automation scripting.Backend Testing Expertise:
Strong understanding and hands-on experience in testing
backend systems, APIs, and integrations .Cloud Services:
Experience working with
AWS services , including deployments, configuration, and testing in cloud environments.Testing Tools & Frameworks:
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks commonly used for backend services (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework).Database Testing:
Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases; experience with database query writing and validation.CI/CD Pipelines:
Exposure to
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
practices to integrate automated tests within build pipelines.Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience:2+ years of experience in
automation testing, backend testing, and AWS environments .Familiarity with
Docker, Kubernetes , and microservices architecture is a plus.Knowledge of performance and load testing tools.Experience with monitoring and logging tools in AWS environments (e.g., CloudWatch).
