Job Title: Electronic Data Interchange SpecialistThe EDI Sterling Consultant plays a pivotal role in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI solutions using IBM Sterling to ensure seamless electronic data interchange with business partners.Configure and Maintain EDI Solutions: The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI with Order Management Systems (OMS), ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.Manage EDI Mapping and Communication: The specialist will oversee and support EDI mapping, translation, and communication processes with trading partners, including onboarding, testing, and maintenance of EDI connections.Monitor and Resolve EDI-Related Issues: The specialist will monitor and resolve EDI-related issues, including transmission errors, mapping discrepancies, and communication failures.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven expertise with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway.Detailed knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and industry-specific transaction sets.Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and their integration with EDI processes.Strong understanding of EDI mapping, document translation, and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTP).Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex EDI issues across multiple platforms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
