Cost Analyst RoleAbout the JobThe primary responsibility of this role is to transition BU level costing activities to a finance centre. This involves establishing processes for analysing variances in price and factory costs, as well as providing business insights with actionable recommendations to reduce variances compared to established standards.This includes being the single point of contact for product costing on SAP, independently handling entire product costing activities.Regular review of materials pending cost release and liaison with markets for timely update of standard costs.Operational AnalysisProcurement transactions will be analysed to identify the cause of price variance, exceptions and abnormal variances reviewed, and liaison with markets undertaken to take corrective action.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain accurate records of product costing data.Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Provide regular reporting on costing activities to senior management.RequirementsProven experience in cost analysis and accounting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
