Job TitleThe Role of a Senior Network Engineer in Kubernetes ArchitectureOur company seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing networks for our on-premises Kubernetes architecture. This includes expertise in bare-metal Kubernetes networking, advanced NAT (SNAT), and the use of Calico, Cilium, Multus, MetalLB, and Istio.A deep understanding of DNS in virtualized environments is crucial for configuring and managing DNS services in complex network topologies. Additionally, experience with SR-IOV and DPDK for high-performance workloads demands expert knowledge of how to optimize network performance using these technologies.The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and load balancing. Experience with Cisco VXLAN (including NDFC) and Arista fabrics is highly valued.Kubernetes ingress/egress, traffic routing, and manipulation are critical aspects of designing and implementing efficient network architectures. Cluster and network underlay integration require careful planning to ensure smooth communication between nodes. Tenant networking with Cisco and Arista demands expertise in configuring and managing tenant-specific networks.Platform Operations and Observability involve monitoring and maintaining platform health using tools like Prometheus and Grafana. OpenShift/OpenStack tenant preparation for app onboarding requires a solid understanding of container platforms and their respective configurations. Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) and container platforms like Wind River IaaS for cloud and edge deployments also fall within this scope.Cloud Migration and Design involves migrating legacy applications to cloud-native platforms such as OpenShift/OpenStack/Wind River. High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation are essential for capturing design decisions and ensuring consistency across the organization. Constantly learning, building, and optimizing cloud-native platforms for scale, reliability, and performance is an ongoing process that requires dedication and passion.
