MySQL Database Developer RoleWe are seeking a skilled database developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, optimize, and scale database systems that power high-growth applications.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain MySQL database schemas, queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.Optimize database performance, including indexing, query tuning, caching, and load balancing.Work closely with backend engineers to integrate MySQL within Node.js services.Contribute to backend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.Evaluate data integrity, security, backups, and high availability.Support system design discussions and propose scalable database solutions.Troubleshoot database-related issues and drive root-cause analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application performance.Requirements:3–6 years of dedicated experience with MySQL, including query writing, optimization, schema design, and performance improvements.A deep understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, indexing strategies, and execution plans.Experience working on high-scale, growth-oriented companies.The ability to design efficient database structures for B2C applications.A strong analytical mindset—able to understand why an approach is optimal, not just how to implement it.Experience working in fast-paced startup environments where speed matters.Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards.Experience optimizing systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.This role requires a solid understanding of database systems and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
