Job Title: Assistant Manager Procurement We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager Procurement. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in handling solar PV projects procurement, with a strong background in international container shipping/ freight forwarding and a proven track record in solar energy projects. Key Responsibilities:Analyze market data and industry benchmarks to uncover insights and identify best practices and savings opportunities.Develop and execute category strategies based on data insights and category knowledge.Evaluate and propose potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards.Validate projected savings from sourcing events.Independently lead and support strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations.Communicate with business unit leadership to understand requirements and support decision-making.Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships for effective procurement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with organizational goals.Ensure goods receipts from suppliers and deliveries to customer on time: resolve issues that might arise with deliveries (in/out) at warehouse / port / customs / transportation company.Ensure that all deliveries are in accordance with procedures and policy's set by Company and governing authorities such as customs, VAT and export controlFollow legislation and procedures relating to quality, customs and safetyRequirementsBachelor' Degree in Engineering/ Diploma in Electrical with minimum 5 years of relevant procurement and logistics experienceStrong in Microsoft officeSkills RequiredStrong knowledge of material procurement of solar photovoltaic systems and related technologies.Strong knowledge of handling end to end international shipping/freight forwarding/logistics.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
