As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will lead the development and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to process NHS data sources, generate accurate responses, and power chatbot and voice agent interactions.Craft, iterate, and optimize prompts and voice-agent dialogue flows to maximize response relevance, reduce latency, and ensure clinical safety across text and voice channels.Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate AI and voice agent components into our microservices architecture.Instrument AI and voice-agent pipelines, analyze logs and user feedback, troubleshoot edge cases, and implement continuous-learning improvements.Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in LLMs, RAG, conversational AI frameworks, and NHS-specific compliance to inform our technical roadmap.Define and execute rigorous test plans to validate model accuracy, voice-agent performance, and compliance with healthcare standards.Our team is looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer who has hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and voice-agent/dialogue-system design. The ideal candidate should have advanced proficiency in Python, NestJS, and Next.js/React, as well as strong understanding of Azure services, containerization, and relational databases. A passion for healthcare technology, patient-centric design, and improving NHS primary care workflows is also essential.
