Role OverviewSeeking an experienced instructional content developer to create engaging, accurate, and standards-aligned learning materials for a certification course in digital literacy.The ideal candidate will have expertise in curriculum design, development, and review within the K-12 education sector, particularly in creating educational content that bridges research with practice.The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to develop high-quality instructionals, assess items, and assessments that help learners build confidence and competence in essential skills such as computer fundamentals, online navigation, and productivity software.Key ResponsibilitiesSubject Matter ExpertiseWrite clear, concise, and engaging lesson content aligned to industry standards and learning objectives.Ensure technical accuracy with age-appropriate language and pedagogy.Instructional Design and DevelopmentDevelop and design engaging course materials that translate complex concepts into accessible language for diverse educational audiences.Incorporate examples, activities, and checks for understanding.Collaboration and FeedbackWork closely with other instructional designers, educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful.Revise content based on feedback from the team.Required Skills and QualificationsEssential Knowledge and ExperienceDeep understanding of digital literacy topics including computing fundamentals, online communication, digital collaboration, cybersecurity, and productivity software.Experience working within the K-12 education sector, particularly in curriculum design and development or content review.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with IC3 Digital Literacy exam domains and objectives.Prior experience in digital literacy education and developing content for career readiness, CTE, or STEM education programs.
