Job Description:Senior SolarWinds Automation Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless observability, performance monitoring, and automation across our global infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as node onboarding/offboarding, alert suppression or muting during maintenance windows, custom alert/report generation and distribution, and SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancements.Implement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proficiency in SolarWinds Orion platform administration.Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation.Strong knowledge of Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Ability to design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries.Experience with custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring.Familiarity with security best practices and compliance regulations.Benefits:Opportunity to work on complex automation projects.Chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Professional growth and development opportunities.Competitive compensation package.
