As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building high-performance, scalable systems to support our growing user base and data throughput. We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead the development and implementation of critical backend initiatives, from design to production rollout and monitoring.Key Responsibilities:Develop and scale high-volume, low-latency backend services that meet our performance and scalability requirements.Own end-to-end delivery of critical backend initiatives, including design, implementation, and production rollout.Design and architect robust, scalable systems that improve performance and facilitate our international expansion plans.Ensure system reliability, efficiency, and redundancy, including disaster recovery strategies and data integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend features with user demands and overall business goals.Mentor junior developers and lead by example in coding, process refinement, and architectural decisions.Optimize existing systems for maximum speed and scalability through rigorous testing and profiling.Spearhead innovations in data security, including enhanced protocols for user data protection and compliance with global standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record in scalable systems.Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.Extensive experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and serverless architectures.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Strong database management skills with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience with financial services applications or social networking platforms will be a significant plus.
