Lead Electrical Design Engineer/Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Good Communication skills & capability to lead the Project independently.
Manage Project Deliverables and Client relationships.
Collaborate with other disciplines for integrated solutions.
Performing Detailed Engineering activities and providing optimized solutions for the Electrical systems in Industrial Projects.
Leads Technical discussions with Client and Suppliers
Lead the Electrical package and interface directly with all stakeholders involved in the Project.
Sound knowledge in designing MV & LV Distribution Systems.
Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Schematic & Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Panel Board Schedules, Cable Schedules, Lighting & Receptacle Layout, Grounding & Lightning Protection Layout, Power Distribution Layout, Equipment Layout, Containment Layouts (Trench, Cable Trays, Conduits, Man Holes, Hand Holes, Duct Banks etc.) Typical Installation Details etc.
Earthing & Grounding design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Cable filling, Containment Sizing, Illumination system design (Dialux), Voltage drop Calculation, Load Calculation, Sizing & Selection of Switch Gears (LV & MV), DGs, ATSs, Transformers, UPSs, Batteries, Breakers etc. Short Circuit calculation & Breaker Coordination studies (ETAP) and Bus- bar Sizing calculation as per IEEE/IEC.
Knowledge of preparation & review of Block Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, relay selection, relay ordering code, I/O list for MV and LV switchgears.
Developing schematics for control and protection panels, synchronizing panels, MV and LV switchgears based on project-specific requirement.
Evaluation of Vendor Drawings, Calculations & Technical Specifications.
Perform Detailed Engineering calculations to ensure exceptional quality in the design.
Ensure Statutory and Regulatory requirements are met while designing the Project.
Reviews specifications/data sheets of all major electrical equipment.
BOM/MTO creation for all Electrical equipment.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a minimum 10 -12 years of experience specialized in Electrical Design.
Proficient in various technical software available for Electrical System Design.
Strong Communication skills and familiar with all relevant Industrial Standards.
Sound knowledge in all prevailing international codes but not limited to NEC, NFPA, IEC etc.
Design experience in Middle East Projects will be an added advantage.
