Job Description: Azure Data Engineer/Analyst (Remote, EST Time Zone)


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team. This is a remote role, requiring candidates to work in the EST time zone (6 PM to 2 AM IST). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Data Factory (ADF), extensive experience in SQL query development, and a proven track record of data warehouse development. Experience with SAP S4 HANA or ERP systems is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to handle large datasets and deliver high-quality analytics.
  • Design, implement, and manage data warehouses, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Integrate and manage data from SAP S4 HANA or ERP systems, providing actionable insights.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in data pipelines and systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for data workflows and processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and building scalable ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
  • Proven experience in data warehouse design, development, and management.
  • Familiarity with SAP S4 HANA or other ERP systems and integrating them into data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and relational/non-relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with global teams.


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools for data visualization.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
  • Understanding of data governance and best practices for managing sensitive information.
