Principal Software Test Leader

Senior Quality Assurance LeadThis is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced senior quality assurance professional to oversee projects and teams ensuring all quality processes and procedures are followed.About the Role:Mentor engineers through regular meetings and provide technical guidance on software testing methodologies.Lead the development and execution of test plans, cases, and cycles to ensure high-quality products.Interview new hires in the QA department to assess their skills and fit for the team.Create knowledge transfer plans and other transition documents to facilitate smooth handovers.Collaborate with QA managers on release schedules and work together to identify areas for process improvements.Delegate tasks to QA engineers like test case writing and reviews, and review manual and automation test cases.Conduct lessons learned and retrospective meetings to identify areas for improvement.Run daily stand-up calls with QA teams to discuss ongoing projects and address any challenges.Collaborate with other leads on standardizing processes across QA teams.Work closely with performance engineers to analyze environment and services health.Maintain QA documents, templates, and job aids to ensure consistency and accuracy.Assess capacity and allocate resources for all releases and test cycles.Review task estimation by engineers and provide feedback for improvement.Create dashboards and work on optimization plans and future roadmaps to drive business growth.Provide detailed weekly reports on project status and scope to stakeholders.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or 5+ years of engineering experience.7+ years of overall QA experience, with at least 3 years as a Senior QA Engineer.3+ years of current experience leading projects and teams.3+ years of writing automated tests.2+ years of interacting with development teams, program management, and DevOps/SRE when launching features and releases.5+ years of experience working with AWS, Linux, networked systems, and databases.High engagement, collaboration, and positive working relationships with QA managers, peers, PGM, RM, and other stakeholders.Excellent track record of clear, valuable test additions and documentation.Mastery of implementing and navigating Agile processes and procedures.Proactive in scheduling necessary meetings and implementing solutions.Confident communicator in multiple contexts (presentations, meetings, etc.).Strong knowledge of automation tools.Collaboration and direct engagement with other QA leads for proper coverage and gap analysis.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with white, gray, and black box and automation test methods.Demonstrated experience in test planning for complex features and systems.Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring test suites using technologies like Cucumber, Selenium, ReadyAPI, Postman, Robot Framework.Ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.Comfortable reading and writing code.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide technical mentorship to other QA engineers.Lead test strategy, automation, and performance testing efforts.Hands-on expertise in automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or similar.Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.Very good understanding of Testing Tools and Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Postman, Jenkins, Java, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEA, TestNG, Selenium, SQL, Jira.5+yrs of JAVA/Core JAVA programming.Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.Leverage AI-first testing approaches to reduce reliance on manual test scripts.Improve test execution within CI/CD pipelines for enhanced speed and scalability.
