If you share our values and enthusiasm for solving challenges, you will find a home at Everest Group.Job overview As part of the Business Operations & Technology (BOT) team, the Senior Lead Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of automation and AI-based solutions across the firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to guide a team of developers, collaborate across business functions, and drive technological initiatives that enhance efficiency and innovation within Everest Group. Key responsibilities • Lead the development of automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, including workflows for Excel/PowerPoint automation, data extraction, reporting, and system integrations • Design and deploy AI-driven solutions, such as custom GPTs, AI agents, and LLM-based tools, to enhance productivity and decision-making across teams • Guide and mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and high quality output • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, design scalable solutions, and manage delivery timelines • Integrate internal tools with third-party platforms (Salesforce, SharePoint, Zoho, ADP, OneDrive, etc.) using APIs or automation frameworks • Identify process inefficiencies, propose improvements, and drive adoption of innovative technology solutions • In collaboration with the IT team, ensure performance, security, and maintainability of deployed applicationsSkills & activities • Proficiency in Python, including automation, APIs, and scripting • Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and generative AI, especially OpenAI platforms • Experience with VBA, REST APIs, and system integrations • Working knowledge of SQL, cloud platforms, and modern development practices (Git, CI/CD, Agile) • Proven ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor others • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Education & experience • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering related field • More than 7 years of experience in software or automation development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role • Experience with AI/LLM-based implementations preferred
