Senior AI Engineer for Conversational HealthcareWe are revolutionizing patient engagement in healthcare by developing a cutting-edge AI receptionist for GP practices.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Prompt & AI/ML Engineer, where you will design, develop, and deploy AI models that power intelligent chatbots and voice agents for telephony services.Key ResponsibilitiesAI Model Development: Lead the end-to-end development of LLM- and RAG-based systems to ingest NHS data sources, generate accurate responses, and power both chatbot and voice agent interactions.Prompt Engineering: Craft, iterate, and optimize prompts—and design voice-agent dialogue flows—to maximize response relevance, reduce latency, and ensure clinical safety across text and voice channels.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend and backend teams to integrate AI and voice agent components into our microservices architecture.Performance Monitoring: Instrument AI and voice-agent pipelines, analyze logs and user feedback, troubleshoot edge cases, and implement continuous-learning improvements.RequirementsTechnical Skills: Strong expertise in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, conversational AI frameworks, and MLOps best practices.Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams.What We OfferA dynamic and innovative work environment that fosters growth, learning, and collaboration.
