We are seeking an experienced Exadata Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of our Exadata infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Exadata Deployment & ArchitectureLead the planning and implementation of new Exadata systems, including farm design and capacity planning.Prepare installation artifacts such as Change Tickets and OEDA configurations.Finalize system hostnames and IP addresses following network allocation.Update DNS entries for all Exadata components and spine/leaf switches.Pre-Installation ActivitiesCoordinate with Oracle to open Service Requests (SRs) and upload OEDA/OECA documentation.Run CheckIP scripts and upload results to Oracle SRs.Create Change Requests (CRs)/Change Tickets for site teams to install spine switches.Coordinate with Oracle to configure spine switches.Rack Installation PreparationSubmit requests for multiracking activities.Create CRs for Oracle to perform EIS/1ENG (one per day).Create Change Tickets for site teams to install Oracle/Cisco management switches.System Build (OneCommand)Execute OneCommand to build the Exadata database environment.Onboarding & ConfigurationConfigure Exadata components using Ansible automation.Onboard components into ASR, CMS, and OEM.Pre-Handover to DBA TeamPerform health checks using Exacheck and upload output to Oracle SRs.Verify LTS checks.Ensure all required documentation and health checks are completed prior to handoff.Operational SupportCreate and manage Service Requests, Change Requests, and Change Tickets for issues or break/fix activities.Collect diagnostic data for Oracle SRs across hardware, OS, and database layers.Conduct continuous follow-up on active SRs to ensure timely resolution.Coordinate maintenance windows and downtime with Oracle and DBA teams.Add newly built Exadata systems to OEM monitoring.This role involves end-to-end ownership of Exadata builds—from planning and installation to operational support and handoff to DBA teams. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
