The primary goal is to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.Triage of findings from scanning tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, Mend, Snyk, JFrog XRay, Wiz, and Qualys.Validation of severity and exploitability of vulnerabilities, prioritizing overdue medium vulnerabilities for prompt resolution.Confirmation of true positives or false positives and documentation of justification for false positives to maintain transparency.Submission of exception requests via approved workflows for GitHub Exception Templates when necessary, ensuring seamless collaboration with the security team.Creation of a Jira ticket in the correct team backlog for confirmed vulnerabilities, including vulnerability alert details, scanning source reference, and recommended remediation steps for efficient tracking.Linking the Jira ticket to the original vulnerability alert for enhanced traceability and accountability.Additionally, this role involves:Maintenance of accurate records of triage decisions and false positive justifications to inform future improvements.Providing regular updates on progress toward reducing the vulnerability backlog.Ensuring adherence to industry-recognized Risk Vulnerability Management Standards for optimal security posture.
