Position: UI Frontend Developer


Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Develop, test, and maintain responsive and visually appealing user interfaces for our news website using modern frontend technologies.
  • User Experience Focus: Work closely with the UX/UI design team to ensure the website provides a smooth, intuitive, and engaging experience for our readers across desktop and mobile devices.
  • Content Integration: Implement features for seamless content presentation, including articles, multimedia (images, videos, etc.), interactive elements, and real-time updates.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure the website is fast and optimized, delivering high performance even with large-scale content and high user traLic.
  • Collaboration: Work with backend developers, product managers, and other team members to create cohesive solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure consistent appearance and functionality across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Bug Fixes & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the frontend, including bugs, UI inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Continuously learn and apply the latest frontend development best practices, trends, and tools to keep the website on the cutting edge.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)

Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular

Familiarity with CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS) and CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind)

Understanding of RESTful APIs and AJAX for data integration

Knowledge of version control using Git and GitHub/GitLab

Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles


Experience:

3+ years of experience as a frontend developer (news, media, or similar industry experience is a plus)

Proven track record of building and deploying production-quality websites or web applications

Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, website performance optimization, and accessibility standards


Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions

Passion for creating user-centric designs and experiences
