Enterprise AI API Platform Specialist RoleWe are seeking a skilled API Management Engineer to design, implement, and operate an Enterprise AI API platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with IBM API Connect, DataPower gateways, or equivalent API management platforms.Key Responsibilities:Design and Build APIsDefine Governance PoliciesManage the API GatewaySet Up and Maintain the Developer PortalMonitor API UsageHandle Security and ResilienceStay Up-to-Date with Best PracticesThe role requires close collaboration with teams to build a scalable, secure, and robust API ecosystem. The engineer will own the entire API lifecycle from design through deployment, monitoring, governance, and retirement.Requirements:Expertise in API management technologies, including IBM API Connect and DataPower gateways.Strong understanding of API governance policies, including authentication/authorization, rate limits, quotas, versioning, and lifecycle management.Ability to design and build scalable, secure, and robust APIs using industry-standard tools and protocols.Experience with API gateway management, routing, transformation, orchestration, protocol mediation, and traffic control.Knowledge of developer portal setup and maintenance, including publishing APIs, onboarding internal/external consumers, documentation, and self-service subscription.Excellent analytical skills to monitor API usage, performance, latency, error metrics, and analyze usage patterns and production issues.Strong security and resilience skills to handle secure back-end integrations, payload validation, threat mitigation, and high-availability.Continuous learning mindset to stay up-to-date with API management best practices, emerging protocols, and evolving tool capabilities.Benefits:This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to take their career to the next level in the field of API management.
