Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Engage with community to explore opportunities for the use of IT solutionsGather and document business requirementsWork with various IT teams to develop and deliver IT solutionsRespond to system problems by analyzing the issue and determining the next course of actionProvide system training to end usersParticipate in and lead various IT projects as requiredExcellent programming skillsExtensive Java development experience (Java EE 6/7)Proven experience in JSR 168 and JSR 286 (Java Portlet Specification) development and support.Proven experience leveraging WSRP 2.0 SpecificationOracle ADF, JDeveloper, and WebLogic Server knowledge and experience considered an assetExperience with Relational Databases (Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL)Experience with build & development best-practices/tools (e.g., use of SVN, IDEs, etc.).Experience with Agile Software Development methodologiesBasic knowledge in installing/configuring/administering web servers (IIS, Apache, IBM http server) and application servers (IBM WebSphere, Tomcat) would be considered an assetSoftware design knowledgeIn-depth analytical skillsStrong presentation skillsUnderstanding of project management methodologiesGood communication and interpersonal skillsMust be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, professional and a team player.EducationBachelor Degree or consideration or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience6-8 years in similar roles
