Job Summary:The Art Director is a pivotal role in the development of high-quality visual elements for games. Key responsibilities include leading a team of artists, collaborating with developers, and reviewing art assets to ensure exceptional standards.Main Responsibilities:Define Art Vision: Develop and own the art style guides and visual identity for the game(s), communicating direction through concept art, mood boards, key frames, style frames, and reference guides.Lead Art Team: Manage, mentor, and lead a team of artists (2D, VFX, UI/UX) – including hiring, performance reviews, training, and task distribution to ensure timely delivery.Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with game designers, engineers, and product managers to align art with mechanics, UX, monetization, and performance budgets.Review and Approve Assets: Maintain quality, consistency, and technical feasibility by reviewing and approving art assets (character models, environments, props, animations, UI, effects).Required Skills and Qualifications:At least 10 years of experience in creating game art, with at least 5 years at senior level or above.Diploma/Degree in 2D, video game development, or equivalent training/experience.Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of game art styles, polished final assets, and concept-to-delivery work.Experience working on published games from conception to release.
