Consultant - Generical Medicine and Care of the Elderly - UK Hywel Dda University Health Board in Wales, NHS Trusts Hiring,
They cover the following regions of Wales; Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire.
Need to have MRCP (or an equivalent postgraduate qualification) and they need to have experience working in frailty as they will be running frailty clinics.
Senior specialty doctor or consultant level so we are looking for 5-6 years + experience postgraduate.
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
MRCP
Entry on GMC Specialist Register
To provide rapid assessment of general medical patients.
To stabilize and manage patients admitted with medical emergencies.
To carry out post-take ward rounds during the week.
To maintain effective communication and handover to the on-call team.
To take part in the General Medical on-call rota with colleagues
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to clinically and educationally supervise junior doctor trainees who will be supporting the care of your inpatients.
