Position Overview


We are seeking a highly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with deep expertise in USA taxation and accounting standards to spearhead the establishment of a full-service accounting firm in Ahmedabad, India. This individual will play a pivotal role in setting up operations, hiring and training a team, and delivering top-tier accounting services tailored for our growing portfolio of U.S.-based clients in the healthcare sector (physicians, clinics, dentists, pharmacies, and related practices).


Key Responsibilities


1. Firm Setup and Leadership

  • Establish an accounting firm capable of delivering U.S. tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS requirements.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on U.S. accounting and tax regulations, ensuring all services meet client needs and legal requirements.


2. Client-Centric Financial Services

  • Oversee the preparation of tax filings, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns, for U.S. clients.
  • Provide financial management support, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and practice profitability consulting, tailored for healthcare professionals.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant employment and tax laws in the U.S.


3. Team Building and Development

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of accounting professionals specializing in U.S. taxation and accounting practices.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and excellent client service.
  • Create a robust knowledge base and training programs to upskill the team on U.S. accounting standards.


4. Technology and Automation

  • Implement cloud-based accounting tools and software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, TurboTax) to streamline operations.
  • Integrate workflow automation to enhance accuracy and reduce manual workloads.


5. Process Optimization and Scaling

  • Establish efficient workflows to handle an increasing number of U.S.-based clients, prioritizing scalability and profitability.
  • Develop a plan to expand the firm’s service offerings as the client base grows.


6. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all accounting practices are audit-ready and compliant with U.S. tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in U.S. tax laws and proactively adjust processes to ensure continued compliance.


Qualifications


  • Must Have: CPA license (USA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification with extensive experience in U.S. taxation and accounting standards.
  • Experience: 8+ years in accounting and tax services, with at least 3 years specializing in U.S. healthcare clients.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and healthcare-related financial practices.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. tax software and accounting tools.
  • Proven ability to establish and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills


  • Prior experience working with U.S. clients, especially in healthcare (medical, dental, pharmacy).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance for financial operations related to healthcare clients.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


Compensation


  • Competitive salary in the range of ₹25-35 lakhs per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
