Job Title: Manager - Construction AccountingWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Accountant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within the company.This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, with knowledge of the % completion method of accounting and experience working on project profitability.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Evaluate the monthly close process, ensuring all general ledger accounts are reconciled and analyzed, as appropriate, with variance analysis.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Monitor actual expenses vs budget and participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with vital information to support decision-making.Oversee the use of Yardi, the company's property and accounting software.Requirements:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision-making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi, Procore, or similar real estate accounting systems.Able to take initiative and manage teams effectively.],
