Position Overview :We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Category Head - New Business to take complete ownership of a new business and drive its growth from zero to one. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of brand-building expertise, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to scale the category into a high-impact business vertical.This is a P&L-owning role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced D2C environment and loves building from scratch.What You'll Do:Category Ownership & Strategy- Define and execute the end-to-end category strategy — product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market plans.- Lead P&L for the category; drive revenue, profitability, and market share.- Build & Identify new category opportunities by developing a roadmap to expand the business.Brand Building & Marketing- Own the brand narrative and ensure consistent communication across all consumer touchpoints.- Collaborate with creative, digital, and performance marketing teams to drive awareness and consideration.- Partner with product and R&D teams to create differentiated offerings aligned with brand promise.Growth & Business Management- Drive sales planning, forecasting, and inventory management to achieve business goals.- Leverage data and insights to make informed decisions on category health, customer behavior, and market trends.- Work cross-functionally with eCommerce, retail, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution.What You Bring to the Table:- 7 to 9 years of experience in brand management within D2C, FMCG, or consumer product companies- Should have been a people manager- It would be great if you would have worked on a brand or category from scratch — ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy.- Strong business acumen with a data-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
