The key role of a Tech and Product L&D Specialist at redBus is to drive the skill development interventions for employees across teams. The primary purpose is to assess and address skills gaps (via external trainings and internal learning interventions), support the ongoing development of employees and to ensure that they have the right competencies to meet the business goals. This role includes but doesn’t limit to owning the processes around onboarding vendors/trainers, along with curation as well as execution/delivery of training content in-house according to need.
Skills and Competency Awareness:
- Understand and promote the tech and product-related competencies and learning charters.
- Support Framework Utilization: Help individuals and teams effectively use the skills framework to develop their skills.
- Training and Awareness Sessions: Organize and conduct training programs to enhance skills within the team.
- Learning Framework Rollout: Assist in implementing and driving the adoption of learning frameworks across teams.
- Manager Liaison: Work closely with team managers to ensure the training plan & framework’s success and integration into team activities.
- Engagement and Communication: Develop strategies to enhance engagement and communication about learning initiatives.
- Process Ownership: Take charge of maintaining the skills and competency framework over time
- Data Analytics: Use data to evaluate and track learning progress and outcomes, refining the framework as needed.
- Curate Learning Resources: Develop and provide tech and product teams with access to relevant learning content and resources.
- Design and Innovation in Learning: Collaborate to identify new ways of delivering impactful learning interventions to address evolving business needs.
Educational Qualification: MBA in HR
Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years in L&D
What is the nature and scope of responsibilities the candidate should have handled
- 3-5 years of L&D Experience with Masters in HR: Ideally in a growing organization, especially in product-based sectors.
- Competency Framework Management: Proven experience in managing or implementing competency frameworks.
- Learning Specialist Experience: Experience in L&D roles, particularly in tech and product domains.
- Cross-functional Liaison Skills: Strong ability to engage with people across diverse functional, technical, and operational areas.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in using data, dashboards, and analytics to measure and improve learning outcomes.
- Learning Intervention Design: Experience in designing impactful learning initiatives and interventions.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding the business and how L&D aligns with broader organizational goals.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Experience managing relationships with learning suppliers.
- Digital Learning Solutions: Experience in the use of digital learning tools and platforms to support learning efforts.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate continuous learning.
