Job Title: OpenShift & RHEL Deployment ConsultantLocation: Onsite (Nagpur)Experience: 5+ yearsRole OverviewThe consultant will lead the end-to-end deployment of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on up to 30 VMs and the complete installation, configuration, and validation of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The role includes architecture creation, documentation, integration, knowledge transfer, and remote/onsite support for 6 months post-go-live.Key Responsibilities1. Design & PlanningConduct discovery workshops with customer IT/security teamsDefine high-level and low-level architecture (HLD/LLD)Validate prerequisites:Servers/storage readinessNetwork (VLAN, bonding, routing, firewall rules)DNS/NTP/LDAP/DomainRed Hat repos and subscription access2. RHEL InstallationInstall RHEL on all identified nodes/VMs (up to 30)Perform subscription registrationApply OS-level hardening best practicesSetup required repos, packages, and configuration3. OpenShift DeploymentDeploy OpenShift Cluster (IPI/UPI depending on customer)Configure:DNSLoad Balancer / IngressNetworking (SDN/CNI)Storage ClassesWorker/master configurationsProxy settings (if required)Register cluster with Red Hat Cloud ConsoleIntegrate LDAP/AD for authentication4. Validation & TestingPerform cluster health checksConduct performance tests and configuration verificationGenerate validation & readiness reports5. DocumentationArchitecture diagramsInstallation/configuration stepsIntegration guideSecurity & hardening notesTroubleshooting guideAcceptance/Test report6. Knowledge TransferConduct KT sessions with customer teamProvide admin & operations trainingHandover all design/config documentation7. Post Go-Live Support (6 Months)Incident resolutionPerformance tuningConfiguration supportProactive monitoring guidanceOnsite visit (1–2 times if critical issue & remote support not enough)Required Skills & Experience4–6+ years hands-on OpenShift deployment experienceStrong RHEL 7/8/9 administration experienceHands-on withOCP cluster deployment (IPI/UPI)Operators, Storage, IngressLoad balancer technologies (F5/HAProxy/Ingress)Networking: VLANs, bonding, IP planningDNS, NTP, Authentication services (LDAP/AD)Should have implemented 2+ production OCP clustersExperience with performance tuning and troubleshootingStrong documentation capabilitiesGood communication and customer-facing abilityWillingness to travel onsite (Nagpur)
