Senior Release Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Release Engineer to take charge of branching, merging, and deployment strategies ensuring smooth, reliable, and efficient software releases into production. This role is critical in maintaining the stability and scalability of our delivery pipeline, while partnering closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams.
What You’ll Do
- Design and manage Git branching strategies (features, releases, hotfixes).
- Perform code merges, resolve conflicts, and ensure code integrity across environments.
- Coordinate and execute deployments across staging, QA, and production.
- Automate deployment processes for repeatability and reduced risk.
- Manage and document release schedules, deployment notes, and rollback plans.
- Collaborate with teams to align on code freeze, deployment windows, and production changes.
- Monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and support rollback strategies when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Overall 7+ years of exp and at least 5+ years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
- At least 2 + years of TeamCity Experience.
- Strong expertise in Git, branching/merging strategies, and version control workflows.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of deployment pipelines and production environment management.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure seamless collaboration.
