What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect and manage large-scale infrastructure to support massive data processing, enabling the analysis of hundreds of terabytes of audio data.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain 1,000+ edge devices in diverse retail environments, ensuring uptime, data integrity, and performance across all deployments.
- Develop scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions for real-time data capture and processing across multiple geographic regions.
- Optimize data pipelines and storage solutions to handle massive datasets effectively and efficiently, working closely with AI/ML teams to ensure infrastructure supports their data needs.
- Implement and maintain automated deployment, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure high availability and robust system performance.
- Continuously improve system resilience, security, and scalability, identifying and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement infrastructure best practices and documentation.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud management, or DevOps, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in deploying and managing high-performance infrastructure for data processing and real-time analytics.
- Strong understanding of network security, monitoring, and logging.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience working with edge devices, IoT infrastructure, or similar environments where devices are distributed and data is centrally aggregated.
- Knowledge of data pipeline optimization, storage solutions, and handling large-scale audio or video datasets.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with monitoring and analytics tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of MLOps and data engineering pipelines.
- Previous software engineering or MLOps experience
- Previous exposure to edge/IoT device deployments
