Job description
Responsible for the safe and economic operation and management of aircraft and passengers. Ensure consistent operational efficiency, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Responsibilities
Ensure all operations are conducted safely and efficiently as described in the company / OEM manuals and supervise the co-pilot while avoiding any violations, accidents, or incidents.
Stay well-versed in air legislations, operations procedures, checklists and including emergency response program
Take responsibility for the operation, safety of the helicopter, including its passengers, and cargo from pre-flight to post-flight phases.
Ensure all pre-flight documentation and information for the intended operation ,alternative plans are deliberated with the operations and management team to ensure safe operations
Maintain high standards of crew discipline, conduct, and customer safety.
Be knowledgeable in preparing operational flight plans, including fuel planning and mass and center of gravity assessments.
Report any fault, failure, malfunction, or defect that may affect the airworthiness or safe operation of the aircraft, including emergency systems.
Properly maintain and wear the mandatory protective personal equipment provided by the Company.
Encourage open environment for Crew Resource Management (CRM) and actively engage in quality crew monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
Valid ATPL (H) issued by the DGCA
Helicopter Instrument rating on type (AW169)
Minimum 1500 hours of multi engine/multi crew flight time and PIC experience of 100 hrs. on offshore on type.
Valid medical certificate (class 1)& good knowledge of DGCA regulations
Should have extensive knowledge of the incident / accident reporting and co-ordinate with the DGCA for purposes of investigation of incident / accident arid Search and Rescue Operation
