As a seasoned backend automation professional, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team's success.We are seeking an experienced software test engineer with strong expertise in backend automation and REST API testing to join our dynamic team in Pune. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and high-quality cloud and web products using your technical skills and expertise.Key responsibilities include owning and executing end-to-end backend automation for new and existing features, defining QA strategies for the team, and collaborating with product managers and designers to understand requirements and convert them into detailed test plans.To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputable institution, 5-8 years of professional experience in software testing or SDET roles, and hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python for automation scripting. Expertise in REST API automation frameworks such as RestAssured, Karate, etc., proficiency in BDD frameworks like Cucumber or JBehave, and experience with performance testing tools (JMeter or equivalent) are also essential.Strong understanding of automation strategy, test environments, and CI/CD pipelines is required. Additionally, you should have experience with Jira, Jenkins, Git, and version control workflows. Our ideal candidate will have primary skills in Backend Automation (REST API), RestAssured, Java, Cucumber, Docker, Jenkins, Load & Performance Testing, and secondary skills in Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, Mockito, Python, plunk.This role offers opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced, agile environment.
