Senior Systems Operations EngineerThis critical role plays a key part in overseeing and optimizing 24x7 production infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability and security across multi-site environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation and performance enhancements.Build partnerships between Product, Engineering and Operations teams to achieve synergy.Manage international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure powering services, including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning and security.Root-cause complex problems involving stakeholders, network, hardware, software related to scaling and performance.Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning and reporting in the production environment.Contribute to evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.First line of defense during working hours for alerts or incidents.Demonstrable skills and experience managing, troubleshooting and tuning Linux systems.Friendly demeanor, working well with cross-functional teams.Automating management of systems and applications using Perl, Python, Ruby.Experience with industry-standard foundation technologies TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, LDAP.Management of large, distributed computing environment.Virtualization – KVM, VMware vSphere, OpenStack.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Monitoring and alerting systems.Industry-standard operational practices change management, incident management, colocation datacenters.Configuration management Puppet, Chef.Loading balancing technologies F5, Netscaler.Kafka, Elastic Search, Cassandra, MySQL.The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of Linux systems and extensive experience in automating system management using various programming languages. Proficiency in virtualization technologies and loading balancing techniques is also highly desirable.
